What PlumberNewJersey is
PlumberNewJersey is an independently operated referral service. PlumberNewJersey is not a plumbing contractor, holds no contractor licence, employs no plumbers and performs no plumbing work. Every job arranged through this site is performed by an independent, separately licensed professional who contracts directly with the homeowner.
What PlumberNewJersey does not do
These limits are deliberate. Under New Jersey law the activities above are reserved to licensed contractors, and PlumberNewJersey stays outside them.
- It does not perform, supervise or inspect plumbing work.
- It does not set prices, produce estimates, bids, proposals or invoices.
- It does not schedule visits, dispatch technicians or manage jobs.
- It does not collect payment for plumbing work.
- It does not guarantee, warrant or insure any professional's work, licence or insurance.
- It does not negotiate or execute contracts on behalf of any contractor.
- It does not employ, control or direct any plumbing professional.
Who you are actually contracting with
When you call the number on this site, the call is routed to an independent licensed plumbing professional or to a partner network that routes it onward. Your contract, your invoice, your warranty and any dispute are with that professional — not with PlumberNewJersey.
Before work begins, ask for the licence number and verify it yourself. The public register for New Jersey is published by State Board of Examiners of Master Plumbers, New Jersey Division of Consumer Affairs at https://newjersey.mylicense.com/verification/Search.aspx?facility=N.
How this site is paid
PlumberNewJersey may receive compensation from a partner network or from a contractor when a homeowner connects with a professional through this site. Compensation does not change the price the contractor charges you, and it is not a fee you pay. See the advertising and compensation disclosure for detail.
Statutory disclosure for New Jersey
New Jersey requires home improvement contractors to show their HIC registration number on all advertisements distributed in the state and on business documents, contracts and consumer correspondence, with commercial vehicles carrying "HIC reg. #" and the number in one-inch lettering; licensed master plumbers acting within their scope of practice are exempt from HIC registration and therefore from that advertising requirement, so a plumber shows a plumbing licence number while a general remodeler shows an HIC number. PlumberNewJersey publishes its non-contractor status on every page of this site.
